Bark River Fox River EXT-1

They say necessity is the mother of invention. With the Fox River EXT-1 knife that axiom rings true. We’ve long felt the Bark River Fox River was a tremendous blade but was somewhat lacking in handle length and comfort. As such, DLT worked with BRKT to come up with the EXT version that offers a longer handle with a comfortable palm swell and an integral self guard for safety and sense of security when field dressing game or other tasks.  

3V steel was chosen for its balance of toughness, edge retention and stain resistance (though not stainless the vanadium content helps it to be quite stain resistant). A thickness of .156” is perfect for cutting and slicing yet robust enough to pop joints when field dressing or to handle some bushcrafting/camping/outdoor survival tasks.
