The collaboration between Spartan Blades and William W. Harsey Jr. has produced some of the most respected fixed blades in the tactical knife market. Harsey—designer of the Yarborough Knife presented to U.S. Army Special Forces Qualification Course graduates—brings decades of experience working with elite military units to every design. These aren't concept knives; they're working tools shaped by real-world feedback from operators.
Harsey Difensa — A 6.25-inch spear point commissioned by Canadian special forces who wanted a blade that would serve in northern woodlands and worldwide deployments alike. Available in CPM MagnaCut or S45VN steel with SpartaCoat PVD finishes. Named for the 1943 Battle for Monte la Difensa, where U.S. and Canadian First Special Service Force secured a pivotal Allied victory in Italy. The flat ground blade with tapered top edge delivers excellent tip strength and cutting ability. Full tang with 3D-contoured Canvas Micarta handles.
Harsey Dagger — A modern evolution of the Fairbairn-Sykes combat dagger, built with Special Operations input. The 6-inch double-edge blade in MagnaCut or S45VN features an exposed pommel for impact applications. At just 6.72 ounces, it's lightweight without sacrificing reach or balance. Available with MOLLE nylon or Kydex sheath options.
Harsey Tactical Trout — A mid-sized fixed blade merging Harsey's Trout outdoor design with his H-Class Tanto handle. The 4.5-inch spear point in S45VN handles field tasks and defensive applications equally well. Contoured linen Micarta handle with lanyard hole at the pommel. Harsey Kukri — An 8.75-inch chopper manufactured by KA-BAR in Olean, NY. The 1095 Cro-Van blade's forward center of mass allows slicing during the chop stroke—effective for clearing brush, processing firewood, and field tasks. Quarter-inch blade stock at 56-58 HRC handles heavy use. Injection-molded handle and retention sheath.
Harsey Fighter — Combines a U.S. military combat/utility blade profile with Harsey's signature contoured handle. The 6.125-inch clip point in 1095 Cro-Van is manufactured by KA-BAR with over 120 years of American production expertise. Injection-molded sheath features active retention with thumb lever for secure carry and fast access.
