Designed by company co-founder Sal Glesser, the Temperance was one of Spyderco’s earliest fixed blade models. Now, this classic design returns as a limited-edition Sprint Run, featuring a gray-colored fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle and a full-flat-ground PlainEdge blade crafted from CPM CRU-WEAR. Formulated for superior wear resistance and toughness, CRU-WEAR’s advanced alloy composition is enhanced by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process, ensuring an ultra-fine, homogeneous grain structure. Staying true to the original, the knife’s ergonomic handle is injection molded directly onto the tang of the blade and includes a series of bilateral dimples to enhance texture and provide pivot points for grip-change maneuvers. This exceptional revival of the Temperance is complemented by a custom-molded Boltaron sheath with a versatile G-Clip attachment.
