This emergency fire starter kit is lightweight, easy to carry, and will work even if previously soaked in water. The firesteel rod is very dependable. The 2 magnesium rods can be used to put shavings into your tinder bundle. Once the magnesium ignites, it burns very hot increasing the chances of your other tinder starting ablaze.
This kit includes the 3 rod fire starter, a TOPS Survival Whistle, A P38 can opener (which can also be used as a striker for the Ferro rod), and a 30 inch ball chain.
